ABOUT

welcome to lonely bandit. my name’s noelle and i’m a tattoo artist and digital illustrator. i’m a full time resident tatooer at grateful tattoo in squamish, bc.

Lonely bandit falls into an odd, vintage surf-grunge meets spaghetti western category woven around the roots of 60’s and 70’s music subculture. My tattoo style is a little of this and a little of that - black and grey linework, neo-traditional, stippling and a whole lot of cowboy vibes. I love to tattoo vintage rodeo imagery, pinups and American traditional-inspired designs.

my illustrations work in warm colour tones modelled after the psychedelic gig poster movement of the 60’s and I take a lot of inspiration from artists such as Rick Griffin, Stanley Mouse, Alton Kelly and Bonnie MacLean. i love to push the boundaries of aesthetics plucked from grunge, psyche and anything from your dad’s record collection.

I love a challenge and froth out-of-the-box ideas. When i am not tattooing i love to take on everything from album covers and gig posters to surfboard glasswork and mural projects.

Check out my most recent work below and don’t hesitate to drop me a line for any collaboration ideas (or even if you just want a chat).

yeehaw.
